Monitoring system for music-learning environments

The Highstop Monitor system enables the teacher to follow the students' musical manifestations.
The system consists of a Master (Teacher) controller and up to 24 Student units.
The system is linked together via network cable, from device to device.
This makes the setup simple and without unnecessary cable clutter.



The Student unit has connected to:
Stereo Line Input, for connection to the student's computer, sound card or keyboard.
3 pcs RJ45 connectors for Línk (makes it possible to split the Link up to different directions.
USB Type B, used to supply power to the device.
2 miniJack headphone jacks with individual volume control.

The Student unit also has 2 pushbuttons and 2 lamps.

The Master controller has connected to:

2 phone sockets stereo Line out for connection to sound system in the classroom


On the Master controller, the operation consists of:
24 push buttons for student selection.
3 push buttons for student function selection.
3 push buttons for audio routing.
2 push buttons for individual mute of headphone and Line out.

The system allows the learner to:
Hear what a single student is playing.
Send the selected student's sound to another student, to all students and / or out of the room's sound system.
Send his (teacher's) sound to another student, to all students and / or out of the room's sound system.
Possible to call one or all students. On the student unit, a light will flash and a sound will be sent out the student's headphone.
